Join Global at Clean Pacific 2012 in Long Beach, CA
Global Diving & Salvage, Inc. is proud to participate in Clean Pacific 2012, in Long Beach, CA. This year we are presenting two sessions;
Wednesday, May 16, from 3:00 - 4:30 PM, Montebello Case Study; presented with the United States Coast Guard, the session will discuss how we performed an assessment of a tanker that was sank on December 23, 1941, with a cargo of 1.3 million gallons of crude oil onboard. The question was, was is still onboard or leaked out? Come to find out the answer.
Thursday, May 17, from 3:00 - 4:40 PM, Tsunami and Natural Disasters, a talk on our involvement with the follow up efforts related to the aftermath of the Japanese Tsunami in Crescent City.
Global President Joins SCAA Board of Directors
The Spill Control Association of America announced the new Board of Directors March 8, 2012 at their annual meeting in Alexandria, Virginia. The new directors are Harry Bedrossian, SPC Brady; Michael Gallagher, CI Agent Solutions; and Devon Grennan, Global Diving & Salvage, Inc.
Grennan states, “It is an honor to be part of such an important organization, I look forward to making an impact and to continue to foster the SCAA principle: to represent the collective interests, and professional experience and contributions of the spill response industry.”
Global Raises $11K+ for "Buy a Heart. Save a Life!"
Global has been an ongoing champion for Team Seattle and their efforts to raise money in support of Children’s Hospital. Last week marked the monumental 50th year of the running of the 24 Hours at Daytona. The employees of Global have banded together to raise over $11,000 in sponsoring Team Seattle’s campaign “Buy a Heart, Save a Life” – with the goal to raise an incredible $100,000 to fund the development of a hybrid surgical suite.

Global Participated in the Inaugural 6 Hours of Seattle Go-Kart Race to Benefit Team Seattle
A six man team from Global Diving, cleverly coined Scuderia Global, participated in the Inaugural 6 Hours of Seattle G-Kart Race, with all donations going to benefit Team Seattle and the Children's Hospital. While Global faced stiff competition on the track, they blew away the field in fundraising, with a total of over $7,500 raised through the event!
Beaver & DeVilbiss Elected to ASA Leadership
Global is proud to announce the new American Salvage Association executive leadership now includes Tim Beavers, CEO and David DeVilbiss, Alaska Regional Manager. Beaver has been elected as the new President and DeVilbiss has risen into the ASA's Executive Committee.
“This new leadership team will serve to energize the ASA’s approach to the diverse fronts tackled by the ASA,” stated Beaver. He adds, “This year and beyond, ASA will remain focused on the OPA 90 salvage and marine firefighting regulations for tank vessels, pending regulations for non-tank vessels, responder immunity, Arctic response, the ongoing Quality Partnership with the U.S. Coast Guard, as well as continuing to strengthen our industry’s commitment to the marine environment.”
5th Annual Benefit Golf Tournament - HUGE Success!
Global Diving & Salvage, Inc. would like to thank those that played and sponsored this year’s event. We raised $50,000 towards Team Seattle's efforts to furnish a hybrid surgical suite at Children's Hospital!
